Job Description:
You will be responsible for management of Linux servers and all associated software used for the day-to-day operation of the SourceForge network of sites.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Operations infrastructure of SourceForge
- Support developers in planning and deployment of new site features
- Support developers in deployment of new software and hardware configurations
- Planning and executing deployment of hardware and software upgrades
- Day to day maintenance of Linux servers
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years practical experience with:
- Setup, maintenance, and administration of Linux systems (and automation of the same) including timely patch deployment
- Setup, maintenance, and administration of LDAP directories
- Configuration and management of Networking infrastructure: TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, NFS, routing etc.
- Redhat Kickstart
- Scripting (bash/sh, PERL, Python)
Very strong planning and communication skills are required. The position provides service for a number of groups with competing demands. Therefore, the candidate must be able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision and clearly communicate priorities and status.
Occasional out-of-hours work is required to cover international time zones and the needs of the SourceForge development team.
